What information we collect
Information you provide directly:
- Name, email address, date of birth
- Username and @handle
- Profile photo
- Bio, location, and linked social accounts
- Posts, captions, comments, and any content you upload
- Reports you submit about other users or content
Information collected automatically:
- Device type and operating system version
- App version number
- IP address (used for security purposes, not stored long-term)
- Feature usage data (only if Analytics is enabled in your settings)
- Approximate location (only if location permission is granted and Location-Based Content is enabled)
Information from third parties: If you sign in with Apple or Google, we receive your name and email from those providers. We do not receive access to your Apple or Google account beyond what is needed for sign-in.
How we use your information
- To provide the service: authenticate your account, display content, enable posting and messaging
- To personalize your experience: rank your For You feed, surface local content, suggest people to follow
- For safety and security: detect abuse, enforce our terms, protect the community
- To communicate with you: account verification emails and critical account notices
- To improve the app: anonymized analytics on feature usage (only if Analytics is enabled)
What we do not do with your data
- We do not sell your personal data to third parties
- We do not share your content with advertisers
- We do not use your private messages for any purpose other than delivering them
- We do not build advertising profiles or share data with ad networks
Data retention

Your rights

- Portability — your data export is provided in a standard, readable format
